Hazard ‘agrees’ Real Madrid move
11:00: Eden Hazard has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid
at the end of the season after snubbing Chelsea’s offers of a
new deal.
According to Radio Monte Carlo, Los Blancos have held talks
with Hazard over a transfer.
They claim the Belgian has already rejected two offers from
Chelsea over extending his stay - his current deal runs until
2020.
One proposal saw Hazard offered a staggering €17.6m
(£15.5m) a season but Hazard is holding out for a move to
the Bernabeu.
Spanish publication AS claim Hazard has his heart set on a
switch to Spain and following discussions has now agreed to
leave Chelsea in the summer.
Three Real Madrid deals among most likely La Liga
transfers
10.30: Real Madrid are set for a busy month in the transfer
market with a number of deals highlighted among the most
likely La Liga moves to happen.
Los Blancos have been chasing Kepa Arrizabalaga for several
months but are now also linked with Inter Milan captain
Mauro Icardi while several players could be heading for the
Bernabeu exit.
Real are not the only club in the Spanish top flight who are
expecting new arrivals in the near future, so check out our
rundown of the most likely La Liga transfers in January.
Hazard’s Real Madrid demand
09:20: Chelsea star Eden Hazard has told Real Madrid he will
join if one of Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema is sold.
Spanish outlet Diario Gol report Hazard wants Real Madrid to
offload one of either Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema if they
wish to secure his signature.
Hazard wants one of the two players sold as he wants to be
one of Real’s most-established players.
The Belgium international is Chelsea’s talisman and, though
Ronaldo’s status would outweigh his own in Spain, Hazard is
happy to play second fiddle to the 32-year-old.
Zidane's vow
07:26: Zinedine Zidane insists Real Madrid will not give up on
the defence of their La Liga title until the season is over,
despite sitting 16 points behind Barcelona.
"The plan is to work and work even more because it’s not
enough. We’ll continue working more than ever,” he said.
“I believe in my squad and I’ll not change. I’m annoyed by the
comments that you make and that you think that I’m throwing
down the gauntlet to the president and the club. This show
that you don’t know me.
“I’m just another person and nobody is above Real Madrid. I’ll
never throw down the gauntlet to the club, the fans or the
president who has put me here.
Ronaldo complaint
06.15: Real Madrid’s star players have voiced their concerns
over one thing at the Bernabeu.
And the nominating factor seems to be the attitude and
performances of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Diario Gol report that Real’s stars are fed up with the 32-
year-old’s “ego and individualism.”
Isco is said to be the ring-leader in the disrepute.
But he is thought to have the backing of club captain Sergio
Ramos, along with Marco Asensio, Lucas Vazquez and Dani
Ceballos.
Real Madrid chase Liverpool's Salah
05.30: Real Madrid are keen to sign Liverpool’s Mohamed
Salah after watching Barcelona break the bank to take Philippe
Coutinho to the Bernabeu, according to reports.
The Egyptian has been in magnificent form since moving to
Anfield, scoring 24 goals for both club and country.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Real are
hopeful of convincing the 25-year-old to move to the Spanish
capital.
However, it looks unlikely Jurgen Klopp would sell his star
attacker, especially so soon after losing Coutinho.
Kane and Hazard wanted at Bernabeu
04.45: Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is preparing a
huge summer spending spree on signing both Harry Kane and
Eden Hazard, but he must do one thing first.
Kane and Hazard have been touted as their No 1 targets, with
the latter’s father coming out and stating the Chelsea star is
holding out for a move to the Bernabeu.
And Spanish outlet OK Diario claim Real will push ahead with
a bid for the Premier League duo in the summer.
But the report goes on to state the La Liga giants will need to
offload Karim Benzema in order to fund a potential move.
The France international has faced heavy criticism from Real
fans this season having scored just two league goals.
